Honoring a Legacy
of Service

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit honoring a man who never stopped showing up, through three causes: animals, children facing cancer, and our oceans. Right now, we're raising funds to fly 300+ animals from kill shelters to no-kill rescues.

Our Story

Larry Blue Foundation is the Newport Beach, California organization founded by Keevin Blue to honor Larry Blue's legacy of service. Our current Paws initiative is fundraising for animal-rescue flights; childhood-cancer support and ocean restoration are planned areas of work. Official project information and updates are published at larrybluefoundation.org.

Larry Blue
1935 - 2016

“He was not only my father, he was also my best buddy. He was a very kind, hardworking man who always tried to help people and do what was right on a daily basis, which is why I want his name to live on in a very positive and giving way.”

Keevin Blue, Founder

A Man Who
Showed Up

One of the many examples of Larry Blue's compassion is: He was a Deacon at his community church. When he realized there were people too disabled to attend weekly services, “shut-ins,” he didn't start a committee or write a proposal.

He bought an inexpensive van, made the repairs and alterations himself, and drove around town every Sunday morning picking up people in wheelchairs so they could attend church. Then he'd take them home afterward.

He also performed routine maintenance and repairs on the church throughout the year. He taught his son Keevin the value of working hard and not complaining. A man who always tried to help people and do what was right, every single day.

Larry passed away suddenly in his sleep in 2016. The Larry Blue Foundation was created to ensure his legacy of service lives on protecting the vulnerable, just as Larry always did.

Our Mission

Three Pillars, One Purpose

Larry Blue's legacy of service extends to every living thing that needs protection. We champion three causes, and will expand to more as needs arise.

01
Animal Rescue & Welfare

Paws

We believe every animal deserves safety, compassion, and the chance to thrive. We're raising funds to fly 300+ at-risk animals from overcrowded kill shelters to no-kill rescues nationwide, where they get a real chance at a forever home.

02
Childhood Cancer Support

People

We believe no family should face childhood cancer alone. We plan to partner with established nonprofit organizations to raise awareness and provide aid to those affected by childhood cancers.

Planned focus: awareness, fundraising, and direct family support

03
Ocean & Environmental Restoration

Planet

We are committed to protecting and restoring our planet through actions that sustain ecosystems and marine life for future generations.

Costa Mesa, California

Together with Priceless Pets, volunteers cleared the way for a concrete pour, rebuilt the kennel floors, and sealed every surface for easier cleaning and long-term use. The best part came next: welcoming rescued dogs into their renewed spaces.
